Partners, Family & Friends

Partners, family members, and friends are an important part of our community

While the main conversation sessions focus on people with aphasia, partners meet informally alongside the group.

It gives them a chance to share experiences, support each other, and take a short break from their caring role.

Their involvement helps create a wider sense of community where everyone feels included.

How Partners Participate

Informal peer support: Partners meet together during sessions to chat, share ideas, and encourage one another.

Social events:‍ ‍Partners help organise relaxed community outings so couples, friends, and families can enjoy everyday activities together.

Joint activities: Some sessions bring everyone together for shared activities that build connection and fun.

We run special conversation partner sessions (CPT). Find out more here.
